Commemoration of the Outbreak of the Algerian Liberation Revolution
On Sunday, 2 November 2025, the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture in El Oued marked the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Liberation Revolution, commemorated annually on the first of November. The ceremony opened with an address by the Director of the School, Professor Elhabib GUEDDA, who highlighted the objectives of the Revolution and the sacrifices made by previous generations including students to secure freedom for the nation. He emphasized the importance of consolidating full independence by ensuring economic sovereignty, noting that agriculture remains a fundamental pillar that current generations must continue to strengthen. This was followed by a speech delivered by the Secretary-General, Mr. Mokhtar BEN HALIMA, who underscored the importance of preserving the achievements of the Martyrs and Mujahideen and continuing the legacy of struggle. He encouraged students to contribute to supporting the national economy through the development of agriculture, particularly Saharan agriculture. The event concluded with a revolutionary-history quiz for students, after which symbolic prizes were awarded to the top participants.
