A training workshop entitled "Reproductive Management and Feeding Strategies for Dairy Cattle in Saharan Regions" was launched today, Monday, 24 November 2025, at the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture in El Oued. The event opened with a recitation of Verses from the Noble Qur'an , followed by the national Anthem. Afterwards, the School Director, Professor Elhabib GUEDDA, delivered a speech in which he outlined the objectives of this activity and the expected outcomes. This was followed by an address by the Director of Hamma Lakhder University in El Oued, Professor Omar FERHATI, who expressed his great satisfaction at being among the School's community -an institution that was merely a dream five years ago and became a reality owing to his contributions and the commitment of dedicated individuals. In a subsequent part of his address, he highlighted the various projects that have benefited the higher education sector in the province, as well as the national and international achievements of the university's students. He further encouraged the students of the School to continue on this path of excellence and to elevate the School's reputation even further. In recognition of his efforts and continuous dedication to advancing both the University of El Oued and the university city as a whole, the School's administration -headed by the Director -took this occasion to honour Professor FERHATI. Following the tribute, two lectures were presented by Dr. Faissal ZEROUAL, titled: - Reproductive Performance and Management in Dairy Cattle. - Artificial Insemination.
