Higher School of Saharan Agriculture – El oued

A regional meeting dedicated to subsidiary institutions operating within higher education and research establishments was held on Thursday, 23 April 2026, under the auspices of the Eastern Regional Conference of Universities (CRU Est) at the University of Setif 1, headquarters of the Conference. The Higher School of Saharan Agriculture in El Oued was represented at the event by Dr. Brahim MEISSA.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Mohammed Elhadi LATRECHE, President of the Eastern Regional Conference of Universities, in the presence of members of the Conference Bureau. It brought together officials responsible for subsidiary institutions across higher education and research establishments in Eastern Algeria.

A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research led the discussions, which focused on key issues related to the establishment and management of subsidiary entities. The programme included the presentation of recommendations and regulatory guidelines governing their creation and operation, as well as responses to a range of technical and administrative concerns raised by participants.

The meeting provided an important platform for exchange and coordination, contributing to the strengthening of governance practices and the effective management of subsidiary institutions within the higher education and research sector.
