Strengthening Academic Cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture at Cairo University

The Higher School of Saharan Agriculture hosted a virtual meeting with representatives and faculty members from the Faculty of Agriculture at Cairo University, opening new avenues for academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

The meeting brought together the Director of the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture, Professor Elhabib GUEDDA, alongside the Deputy Directors in charge of External Relations and Scientific Research, the Laboratory Director, and several faculty members. Discussions provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on future collaboration and explore areas of mutual interest in education, research, and innovation.
A key focus of the meeting was the development of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at establishing a framework for long-term cooperation. Both institutions expressed their willingness to move forward with discussions on the agreement’s provisions and identified several priority areas for collaboration.
Among the initiatives proposed were the exchange of academic and scientific visits, participation in conferences and scientific events organized by both institutions, and the joint development of funded research projects under international programmes such as Erasmus+ and PRIMA.
The discussions also highlighted the potential for launching a joint Master's programme in Genetic Engineering, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing academic excellence and fostering innovative research opportunities.
This meeting marks an important step toward strengthening international partnerships and expanding opportunities for collaboration in higher education, scientific research, and capacity building.
