Higher School of Saharan Agriculture – El oued

In a celebratory atmosphere, a recognition ceremony was held on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, at the Hall of Honour of Martyr Hamma Lakhdar University to pay tribute to the University City Football Team following its victory in the National University Football Championship for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Omar FERHATI, University Rector, in the presence of Professor Elhabib GUEDDA, Director of the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture, alongside the Director of Education and senior representatives of the university and university services.

The participation of the Director of the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture in this event reflects the School’s continued commitment to promoting university sports and supporting student participation in athletic activities. Recognizing sport as an integral component of student development, the School encourages initiatives that foster teamwork, leadership, discipline, and fair competition, while supporting participation in national sporting events organized across university residences and institutions throughout the country.

During the ceremony, special recognition was also given to Abdeljalil BEKHEIRA, a student from the Higher School of Saharan Agriculture, in acknowledgment of his outstanding contribution to the team's success. Alongside his teammates, he played a significant role in securing this national achievement, proudly representing the School and contributing to its visibility on the national university sports scene.

This remarkable accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance, and team spirit demonstrated by the players throughout the competition and stands as a source of pride for the entire university community.
